Empowering you to make choices that allow you to reach your nutrition goals - without making unnecessary sacrifices or overcomplicating things.

Who am I?

My name is Bex Ward and I’m a qualified nutritionist. Nutrition is an ever-changing and often very confusing landscape and I am passionate about coaching people so they are empowered to make choices that allow them to reach their goals, whether they are weight loss, sports performance or optimal health, without making unnecessary sacrifices or overcomplicating things. I help people build long-term habits, fuel their body for exercise and have a great relationship with food that means they know that no food is off limits. My hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into easy to follow advice allows my clients to not only get results, but be empowered to continue to manage their nutrition on their own.

Having come to a bit of a crossroads in my life & career, I was looking at my Instagram feed one day when I realised that nearly all the content was food related. This lead me to a bit of an epiphany: “Why don’t I become a nutrition coach?!”  So I researched the most reputable courses and wanting to learn from the best, I signed up to MNU (Mac Nutrition Uni). After 12 amazing months being engrossed in the fundamentals of nutrition and how to be a successful coach, I qualified as a fully certified nutritionist and started Balanced Nutrition. I knew for a long time that I wanted my company to be called ‘Balanced Nutrition’ because I have a strong belief that so many good things in life come down to finding a balance, especially when it comes to food.

Nutrition and sport have both played huge parts in my life for more than 25 years now and are as prevalent in my routine as ever; and having been involved in amateur sport for more than 20 years, my passion for both has grown year on year. I love to help athletes understand how to fuel their body effectively so they can get absolutely everything out of their training & competitions, and increase their confidence in their performance.

What I Do

The Process

Step 1

We have a conversation by phone or Zoom so I can understand what your goals are in relation to nutrition and what you you are looking for in terms of support. Bookings for this can be made via Calendly on the booking page and last around 30 minutes.

Step 2

I ask you to complete a pre-consultation form that gives me greater detail on your nutrition habits & goals, as well as your lifestyle and allows me to streamline the subsequent consultation so we maximise the time together.

Step 3

We book in a consultation via Zoom (or in person where possible) where we talk in-depth about everything you want to get out of coaching, your motivations and current habits. Bookings for this can be made via Calendly on the booking page and last between 60-90 minutes.

Step 4

I write and send to you:

  • a full written analysis of the consultation with a clear outline of the approach we will be taking together to achieve your goals
  • a personalised habit tracking sheet to track and record progress
  • invitations to our check ins

Step 5

We get started on achieving your goals!

Testimonials

“I first met Bex at a nutrition seminar that she was holding at my local gym. Bex is full of knowledge and has a great way of breaking it down and teaching you – and not just telling you what to eat, but making small changes to fit in with your lifestyle – not just a fad. Bex has helped me fuel my body for my training and help me get the most out of my body with the correct nutrition. Would highly recommend.”
